Triana Boggs, MSN, APRN, CNM

Hello everyone my name is Triana Boggs. I am Florida Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisville (GO CARDS!) in 2014 and my Master’s of Science in Nursing in 2021 from Frontier Nursing University.

I have worked as a NICU nurse and lactation counselor since 2014 in KY, TX, and FL. My journey to Midwifery began with the birth of my first child William in 2008. The lack of empowerment, lack of quality care, and trauma that I endured as a minority birthing individual, led me to pursue a career dedicated to improving maternity care and infant outcomes. I am passionate about evidenced-based care , informed and educated shared-decision making, and providing equitable and inclusive care to everyone I encounter.

Following the birth to my daughters Kaidence and Kaliyah, I was introduced to the beauty of Midwifery, community based care, and everything that I wished I had with the birth of my children. During my clinical training at Tampa General Hospital, I assisted with the safe delivery of 54 babies and had many experiences in women’s health and maternity care in the hospital setting. Since then, I have worked as a home birth Midwife at Lakeland Midwifery Care and have expanded my knowledge and experiences in community care.

With the love and support of my husband Damon, our beautiful daughters, and my angel son William, I have decided to follow my dream and create a safe space for families to obtain maternity and wellness care, in my own practice. My passions include diversity, equity, and inclusion, reproductive rights, and access to safe care in our community. I am the Co-Chair of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee of American Association of Birth Centers and member of American College of Nurse Midwives. In my free time, you may find me enjoying nature, listening to music, playing sports, or dancing in Zumba class. 💃🏾
